About The Story
“The Mask Slips” is inspired by very real horrors endured by neighbors, friends, and fellow residents in and around Chicago. It’s a supernatural tale and one that speaks to the oppression and inhumanity of ICE and other authoritarian organizations.
I hope it connects with you. Even moreso, I hope it empowers you to stand up, shelter your neighbors, and speak out against persecution against our friends and neighbors.
